Scary Monsters and Super Creeps
The biggest new clue in tonight’s Flash Forward episode is the blue hand. 2 of the men that attacked Wedeck, Benford, Noh and Hawk were killed. The rest are still on the loose. It is when those 2 bodies are being autopsied that Noh finds a blind hand on one of them and remembers that that was a clue on Mark’s wall in Mark’s flash forward. Agent Gough and Noh head out to try to get a lead from this clue. They end up finding the next blue hand on Baltimore Street and continuing finding them until they end up at a creepy, abandoned house. There are dead bodies inside and blood on the walls and floors. Who are these dead people and why are they there? We don’t know just yet.
Janis is in the hospital still from her gunshot wound. She has some complications but seems to come out of them fine. The twist is, the surgery they had to do makes it near impossible for her to ever get pregnant, even though she is in her flash forward. Apparently, she will be a miracle case. Or, maybe the baby won’t live? Either way, Janis is quite distraught over this.
Mark and Aaron take Charlie trick-or-treating. Mark freaks out when he sees these guys wearing the same masks as the attackers in his flash forward. He chases them to a creepy graveyard of course, but finds out they’re only teenage boys who egged a house. Dead end.
Mark is called home when Dylan Simcoe winds up in their house. In Dylan’s flash forward, he is in the Benford’s house, memorizes the Benford’s address, and is told by Charlie that “it’s his house too,” which is what Dylan continuously repeats. Charlie announces that Dylan and her are friends, which is what she believes because of her flash forward. Lloyd comes to get Dylan and Oliva walks in the door and in that instant all 3 of them understand the “future.” Mark’s pissed, Olivia’s pissed and Lloyd seems to kind of like it.
Now, it seems like Lloyd is kind of a creep and it is confirmed towards the end of the episode. The creepy train guy pops in Lloyd’s car and we find out that they were both involved in an experiment that killed over 20 million people. How is that even possible to kill that many people and not be caught?
Mark finally tells Olivia about his drinking in his flash forward when she confronts him. Apparently, there is no trust left in their relationship because of what is supposed to happen in the future. Do these people not understand this is a sure-fire way to ensure their marriage will end?
Gimme Some Truth – Flash Forward
My favorite new television show this year is Flash Forward. If you haven’t watched it yet, watch it. It’s so addicting its awesome.
Agents Mark Benford, Stanford Wedeck and Demetri Noh are in Washington D.C. for the entire episode for a senate meeting that determines who will and will not get funding to further investigate the cause of the blackout. Some interesting causes of the blackout come up. Like alien invasion and China trying to collapse the U.S.’s government.
The ruling judge is one bitchy lady and apparently she has a bone to chew with Stanford Wedeck. Stanford Wedeck was trying to build up their mosaic concept when the judge decides she wants Mark Benford to testify his vision. You could say he’s a tad nervous and gets grilled by the judge. He carefully leaves out why his vision is slightly blurry and gets grief from the judge about that. Stanford Wedeck storms out halfway through his testimony which creates some issues between him and Mark Benford. This causes Benford to admit to Stanford Wedeck that he was drunk in his flash forward. Stanford Wedeck gets rather pissed about using his favor on a drunken preminision.
This favor was blackmailing the president into overruling the judges verdict so that they get funding. In exchange, the president makes the judge his vice president who, oddly enough, is president in her flash forward.Stanford Wedeck was able to blackmail the president because apparently he paid a lady with a kid to disappear years ago. We’re still left wondering who is this lady? The best guess I have is that the president had an affair with her and a lovechild and paid her to disappear so no one found out.
While those agents are off in D.C. Janis Hawk is working on her love life. Apparently she is a lesbian and gets very friendly with Maya after just their first date. Maya sees herself wearing a wedding ring in her flash forward. When Maya looks up Janis Hawk‘ s vision on the mosaic, Janis Hawk gets super pissed – why? who knows.
After Janis leaves Maya at a party, she gets attacked by a Chinese gunman. As Benfod, Stanford Wedeck and Demetri Noh are leaving D.C., they get attacked by a number of Chinese gunmen. Janis Hawk shoots the gunman, but not until after he shoots her. It seems like Mark Benford, Stanford Wedeck and Demetri Noh are killed when their car is set on fire, but no, they rise from the fire guns blazing to some weirdly odd music. Luckily they are so good, they take down all the gunmen.
While her husband is being shot at, Olivia Benford gets an anonymous text message saying that Mark Benford is drinking in his flash forward. So who sent this text? Stanford Wedeck and Aaron Stark are the only people that know that. Aren’t they?
The biggest advancement in the case this week is satellite images from the time of the massive crow death in Somalia of some sort of mysterious towers or something. So what are those? Also, what does Charlie know about D. Gibbons? I don’t believe that was ever answered. I was left with many questions this week and as usual, I can’t wait for next weeks episode.
